dia:Beacon
located on the banks of the hudson river in upstate new york, dia:beacon occupies a former nabisco box printing factory. a model of early-twentieth-century industrial architecture, its elegant, functional design provides an ideal environment for dia's collection of contemporary art from the 1960's to the present
dia:beacon is often referred to as a "daylight museum" because its expansive galleries include nearly 34,000 square feet of ambient skylights - an unusual characteristic for an art museum.
in keeping with dia’s history of single-artist, site-related presentations, each gallery was designed specifically for the presentation of one artist’s work.
guerilla meditation
guerrilla meditation refers to the radical act of stopping for a moment of breath, to pause and turn inward, whenever you need, in any environment, in order to fully surrender-to-and-take-in the present moment.
during a guerrilla meditation, members are encouraged to take agency for themselves and surrender to their breath for 2, 5 or even 7 minutes anywhere on the grounds of the property.
